For a one-off job or a renovation, hiring is almost always cheaper. You only pay for the period you use the scaffold, including assembly, dismantling and transport. No storage, no maintenance and always inspected material.
When does buying pay off?
If you use a scaffold very often, for example for regular maintenance, buying can pay off over time. But factor in storage, transport, inspections and maintenance. For most private clients and small businesses that does not outweigh hiring.
